I love my leaf hands! They work great on getting up small leaves, twigs and debris! I can also scoop up a tennis ball and throw it for my dog! BUT as you can see from my picture, my gloves did not protect my wrists and the top part rubs against your skin which is very hard plastic. It was fairly uncomfortable the next day. I would also suggest not leaving outside, as this hard plastic will become brittle and crack. For that reason I can’t give it 5 stars. But they work really good.

I used these for first time today and thought why I didn't buy them before now! They made the job of picking up yard debris much quicker and efficient. The only caveat is the forearm support area is too short to my liking.
It just makes picking up leaves and small branches easier which is what it's intended to do.

The hand rakes work great, my only complaint is the hard edge digs into your wrists when picking things up. If you’re doing a large job, it gets painful. I added foam padding along the edges where you grip the rake. That helped.
Sometimes, the tools that are the most useful are not the most expensive or high tech. These leaf scoops are a prime example. They're inexpensive with a simple design but when I used them for the first time today and realized how well they worked, I decided to write a glowing review. If I only had these scoops for the hundreds of large piles of leaves I have picked up in my lifetime!!! The volume of leaves they can pick up in one scoop is truly impressive, making leaf piles disappear in no time. With their serrated edges and long reach, they are handy for reshaping a leaf pile so they can all be gathered and bagged- much easier than doing it by hand. Whoever came up with this idea deserves credit for an extremely useful tool.
Let me start this review offby saying I used these multiple times scooping up HUGE piles of leaves of our 2-1/2 acre lot. I blow them into large piles & then use my tractor & dumping trailer to move them to the area for pickup by the township. In hindsight, I probably should have spent a bit more on a better pair, but these ended up working well. But they both did end up cracking near the handle after about an hour of use. I used my plastic welding kit to repair & reinforce them, and they still worked as designed. I Wish they were a little wider, but they do enable you to pick up way more than using a rake and your hand. But the handle design is the issue. They should have used thicker plastic & some supporting gussets (fins). I found that not wrapping my hand around the handles like it appears they intended the user to. Instead I laying my fingers flat along the back of the scoops. This worked 100x better, gave me more leverage, allowed me to pick up more leaves at a time and most importantly, made for less strain on the scoop. All that said, it you have a smaller area to clear, these will work for sure. And now that I’ve strengthened them, I’m sure I will get a few more seasons out of them. Unless I find a set with larger scoops and better handle design. Hope this was helpful.
I wasn't sure about buying these, but at 15 clams shipped, I gave them a try. And wow, how did I live without these?Pros: You can grab a massive amount of leaves for each time you bend over, which means less bending over and less back pain later. You keep your hands out of the bug-infested leaves, poison ivy, thorns, etc when you're picking that stuff up. They have a slight rake effect with their jagged front edge. They are just surprisingly enjoyable to use.Cons: I think the handles could be better, perhaps a thick black foam type. Or foam-wrapped metal. They seem just a little thin, but completely usable. I just find sometimes I'm not holding them the way they are intended, and I realize I'm subconsciously trying to get more grip or leverage. They work well. But in a perfect world, they might be improved upon slightly.So far, they haven't broke. They move a ton of leaves per grab, so you can get those big piles loaded into your leaf bags pretty quickly. I paired these with 4 Plintons 72 gallon yard waste bags w/ zippered tops. And tell you what, I can move a massive amount of leaves from the ground into my truck in 4 clean sealed semi-rigid bags surprisingly fast. Those bags are worth a look!Wherever you're going to put your leaves, a set of rake hands like these is well worth it. You don't have to bend over as many times to pick up the leaf pile. You don't have to bend down nearly as far to grab the leaves. You don't have to put your hands into the dirt and leaves. If you're like me and have lots of leaves to rake up, get yourself a set of these, or something like them. These hands are surprisingly worthwhile. I bought these because the price was great, and I was just dipping my toes into the pool, unsure they were going to be worth it. Now that I know they are, I would not be afraid to spend 30 to 40 bucks on a fantastic set. I don't know if other brands are better than these. These work fine. I'm just saying whatever they cost, they're worth it. And so far, these inexpensive ones seem to be holding up well. Just don't abuse them.
